Here at TR.com, we run things in a classy-type fashion. Which is why, when a structure is going to be built out of ARCs, it’s going to be a French structure. Or even two.
Voilà! The ARC de Triomphe! (Get it?) It’s just like being in Paris, only better, because this is pink and has a view of Eloisa James’s Duchess series:
I promised you two French structures, though. So here is an uncanny ARC reconstruction of la Tour Eiffel:
What does it mean, this irresponsible frenzy of construction? It means I have ARCs for SEASON FOR TEMPTATION! And you can win one!
You might have two questions now:
1) What is an ARC?
An Advanced Reader (or Review) Copy of a book. It comes out a few months before the book itself, and since it’s put into production so early, it doesn’t include the final copyedits. So there are generally some typos, but no biggies, and it’s super-awesome to get to read a book So Early.
2) You’re right, that does sound super-awesome. How can I win an ARC of SEASON FOR TEMPTATION?
Just leave a comment on this post! I’m going to leave this ARC giveaway open until noon ET on Thursday, July 14. I’ll choose two winners at random from all comments and will ship anywhere in North America.
Go forth and enter!

ROFL!!! I love your architectural efforts! You should save these pics and maybe recycle them for posts on writer’s block, or your next career day topic (What Working From Home Really Looks Like).
*claps* Beautiful structures! Love the second Eiffle-esqe tower! lol!
and sigh, nothing beats a good ARC! I love that they gave you the peptobismol pink cover! I am so surprised that I am JUST finding out about you (gotta love twitter)! I love featuring debut authors on my site so I’ll def have to use your gorgeous cover (which I just saw and it looks amazing) in October’s anticipated releases post! Can’t wait to learn more about you and your story!

I’m loving those buildings with your ARCs! I’ve never heard of an ARC, and would love to see one. So excited for your book release in October with the real cover too!
Thanks so much, ladies–I really appreciate you stopping by! I’m so glad you are all enjoying my architectural skills. It’s way more fun to build with books than blocks, I now realize!
Hi Theresa, these are too cute! I’ve been looking forward to your novel!
Aw, thanks, mrsshukra.
So excited for the book! It’s such a good story and I’m really looking forward to getting to read it again since you’ve finialized it! (Great structures by the way).
Amy, thank you! I think it’s gotten shinier and prettier since you first read it. Hopefully fun enough to do the structures justice.
Hi Theresa! Love the structures
Congrats on your book and the gorgeous cover (seen alot of those lately)! It sounds wonderful and I am looking forward to reading it!
Thanks, Lisa! I agree, SEASON has an absolutely gorgeous cover. Romance cover artists know what they’re doing!
I can’t wait for Season to come out…. Love the blurb..
Hey Theresa, I love your first chapter, can’t wait to read the book. It promises to be a super fun read, and if Courtney Milan sez so … count me as a believer!
@Dean Young–thanks so much! You have my editor to thank for the cover blurb. When she sent that my way, I got all eyes-bugged-out with how much I loved it.
@Andie–thank you; I’m so glad you liked the excerpt! That’s a teaser of about the first 4 pages–we still have to consume an unbelievable number of biscuits.
I was thrilled to get a thumbs-up from Courtney, because my standard reaction to her books is fangirlsqueeloveawesome.
I love it! I loved what I read in draft form, so I’m sure the final version will be even better!

What the heck? I’m planning on buying a copy (obvs), but I’d take an advance copy so I can have a priceless treasure once you’re rich and famous.
You’ll ~sign~ them, right???
Also, kudos on getting those structures built and taking pictures of them without Little Miss R tearing them down first! Are you just out of this world excited to have ARCs IN YOUR HANDS?!?
@Britt–WILL I be signing them? You just try and stop me.
It is fantastically wonderrific to have real ARCs!
I built the structures after Little Miss R’s bedtime just to be safe. She’s good with blocks, but not exactly gentle. When I mailed the first ARCs, she was excited that I wrote a book, then cried that they were being sent away. I told her I had another one at home to read to her later, and she was mollified. (Er, we’ll make that about 15 years later, though.)
Ok, it’s noon ET (actually noon fifteen), so contest closed. Winners now being picked on random.org…
I’m back. Sorry that took a while; my comments kept winning the ARCs. But the two non-me commenters chosen by random.org are:
Lisa (July 10) and Amanda (July 7)
Congratulations! I’ll email you for your addresses so I can get your books and coverflats sent. Hope you enjoy SEASON FOR TEMPTATION!
Thanks very, very much for stopping by to chime in on my romance debut and my construction skills. You all have gladdened my heart with your very kind comments.
There will be more chances to win SEASON! Over the next two months, I’ll give away more ARCs on Twitter and Goodreads. Check this site’s contact page for those links; I also usually announce giveaways on my Facebook page. And if any of you would like a signed coverflat (basically a flat cover of the book–see here for a picture http://theresaromain.com/2011/04/27/ive-got-it-covered/), just leave a comment here or send me an email, theresa @ theresaromain . com (take out the spaces when you email me).
Also, I always have a website contest open if you want another chance at free books. The current one is here: http://theresaromain.com/2011/06/01/summer-contest-our-very-own-reading-club/
Thanks again!
