Recognize this lady in blue? It’s the cover art for Lady Notorious, my February 2019 book. But when I was on the way to the Romance Writers of America conference last week, my editor let me know the cover art was going to change! It seems the blue cover was too similar to the cover for the previous book in the series, Lady Rogue.
On the final cover, Cass, the unofficial Bow Street Runner who’s the heroine of Lady Notorious, will appear in bright orange. What do you think of the new cover art?
The new look is starting to pop up on retail sites. I still need to update my website! Since the change was made late in the publication process, I have coverflats and magnets with the blue-gown version of the art. Those will be turning up in prize packages over the next few months, and maybe we can call them “limited collector’s editions.”
