The third Royal Rewards book, Lady Rogue, is available now as an audiobook! Callum and Isabel’s story is narrated beautifully by Gabrielle Baker. You can listen to an audio preview at the Tantor site and through several other retailers. (And of course if you prefer print or ebook, those formats are available too.)
The complete Royal Rewards series will be available in audio format this summer! Book 1, Fortune Favors the Wicked, has been available as an audiobook for a while, and the rest of the quartet is joining it beginning with today’s release of book 2, Passion Favors the Bold.
Passion Favors the Bold is one of my favorites among my books, simply because Hugo and Georgette have so much fun together. Their romance is packed with tropes: a grumpy physician hero accompanies his best friend’s adventurous younger sister on a road trip across England to seek a fortune in stolen gold.
As narrated by the talented Gabrielle Baker, that sense of fun will come across for your ears. 🙂 You can listen to an MP3 sample on the Tantor website here.

Royal Rewards books 3 and 4–Lady Rogue and Lady Notorious–will also be narrated by Gabrielle Baker and will be available as audiobooks on July 16 and July 30. Happy listening!
Happy new year! As of this week, the final Royal Rewards book, LADY NOTORIOUS, is available again. Cass and George’s love story is a grumpy-sunshine tale with a practical investigator hired by a duke’s charming son to solve a society mystery.
This is a reissue of a book originally published in 2019–so if you read it then, it’s the same love story. But if you haven’t read it yet, this is the edition I’d love you to check out. I’ve made small changes to the pacing and added even more fun.
In LADY NOTORIOUS, you’ll find Bow Street Runners, a fiendish tontine wager, early experiments in photography, life-changing hand pies, flirting at a fish market, and lots of banter. George is a happy-hearted charmer and Cass has no time for nonsense. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing how they balance each other and fall in love!
Lady Rogue is being reissued today, and I’m so excited to make Callum and Isabel’s story available to you again! If you’ve read it before, this reissue is the same love story. It’s just received a polish since its original release.
In this book, Lady Isabel Morrow needs to switch a forged painting for a genuine one in order to avert a scandal that would destroy her ward’s prospects. She has to carry out the swap in secret because, again, possible scandal. Who better to ask for help than Callum Jenks, the Bow Street Runner that once investigated Isabel’s husband’s death? (And with whom she had a tryst some months later at Vauxhall Gardens…)
Callum has never forgotten Isabel, but he lives by an ironclad moral code. The aftermath of a family tragedy has him rethinking his loyalties, though, and he agrees to carry out a heist with Isabel. They plan together, they work together, they enjoy each other’s company so much. But they live in such different worlds that their partnership can only be temporary…right?
Of course not right. They’ll get their HEA. 🙂 I hope you enjoy seeing how it happens! Lady Rogue is currently available as a paperback and ebook. An audio edition is forthcoming too, though I don’t yet have a release date.
Coming next: a November box set of the Holiday Pleasures series and a January reissue of the final Royal Rewards title, Lady Notorious. More details soon!
If you’ve read it before, it’s the same story you’re familiar with! But if you’ve never read it, I’ve made some updates to make it even more romantic and fun.
All the latest links are available here, where you can also read Chapter 1. I hope you’ll love their story. <3
You might recall from the bajillion reissues last year that many of my books went out of print at about the same time. I’ve been working since then at updating them with new covers and book descriptions, sometimes edits, and sometimes even new formats. And the next series to get the treatment? The Royal Rewards quartet, which begins with a treasure hunt for a fortune in stolen gold coins.
The series starts with Charlotte and Benedict’s love story, Fortune Favors the Wicked, which has been out of print for well over a year. Today the ebook is available again, and the print edition is coming soon; I would guess later this week. An audiobook is also available.
Charlotte is a courtesan on the run; Benedict is a blind ex-sailor/physician. They both need the treasure to begin a new life–so they might as well work together, right? If you’ve read this story before, it’s the same as it always was. It just has a lovely new cover.
If you haven’t read it, I hope you’ll check it out. Charlotte and Benedict like and enjoy each other so much; their scenes were a blast to write. But their lives are so different that they don’t think they can have a happily ever after. (We know better, don’t we?)
Order links and an excerpt can be found on the book’s page here on my site. You’ll also find trivia there about the real-life historical inspirations for this story.
Coming up in four weeks, on September 26: Passion Favors the Bold, a best friend’s little sister/road trip romance featuring Benedict’s younger sister, Georgette, and his closest friend, Hugo. (You’ll meet them briefly in Fortune Favors the Wicked.)
I’ve lightly revised this story to include even more romantic fun for Hugo and Georgette–but if you’ve read it before, it’s still the same love story. I hope you all like the new cover art! The castle, the sea, and the heather are all a part of the story, and I’m so glad the cover artist was able to include them. (For that matter, you’ll notice that the waterfall on the Fortune Favors the Wicked cover makes an appearance during a significant scene…)
Coming up after FFTW and PFTB, I expect to release Lady Rogue–the third Royal Rewards title–later in the autumn. And in time for the winter holidays, I hope to get you a box set of all four Holiday Pleasures books so you can enjoy some toasty romantic reading at a discounted price.
